The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announces a voluntary recall of 663,000 Perfect Flame SLG Series Gas Grills sold at Lowe's stores in Oklahoma and nationwide. FOX23's Emily Sinovic has been investigating these grills since last year, examining fire and safety hazards. FOX23 was the only station in the nation to air the stories last year. Consumers told us their grills caught fire.
Thursday the CPSC said consumers should stop using the grills immediately, as there have been 40 reports of fires due to burners deteriorating, including 23 reports of burner lids catching on fire.
The model numbers included in the recall are SLG2006B, SLG2006BN, SLG2006C, SLG2006CN, SLG2007A, SLG2007B, SLG2007BN, SLG2007D, SLG2007DN, SLG2008A.
