The Freedom Hill Fire Department fought a 200 to 300 acre grass fire on Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the fire was on Highway 33 between Highways 38 and 66.  They saved five to six structures from the fire by keeping it from jumping the highway.

Crews are getting the fire under control.
