Free Landfill Days are scheduled for Tulsa utility customers on April 20th and 21st.
Tulsa utility customers can dispose of unwanted items, with some exceptions, on those days.
They will not accept items containing Freon refrigerant (air conditioners and refrigerators). There are state-imposed fees for discarding tires. The fee is $1 for motorcycle and bicycle tires, $3.50 for tires up to 19.5 inches inside diameter (rim diameter), and $2.50 for agricultural tires not more than 14 inches wide and 44 inches in diameter. Loads in trucks and trailers should be secured and covered to prevent contents from blowing out onto roadways and creating traffic hazards.
The address is 13740 E. 46th St. North from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The landfill closes promptly at 3 p.m. Participants must show a City of Tulsa utility bill or a driver's license with an address within the Tulsa city limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.
