The City of Bixby will offer free landfill days for Bixby residents to the Quarry Landfill in Tulsa for two weekends in November.
The free days begin Friday and Saturday, November 9th and 10th, 2012, and again the following weekend, Friday and Saturday, November 16th and 17th, 2012.
Bixby residents and utility customers can dispose of unwanted items with some exceptions, no items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted.
There will be a $2 fee for each discarded tire to cover state fees for disposal and recycling of tires.
Loads in trucks and trailers should be secured and covered to prevent contents from blowing out onto roadways and creating traffic hazards.
The Quarry Landfill is located at 13740 East 46th Street North, in Tulsa.
Hours of operation are:
Fridays, 6:00 am until 5:30 pm.
Saturdays, 7:00 am until 1:00 pm
CLOSED SUNDAYS
The landfill will close promptly at 1:00 pm on Saturdays.
Bixby residents and utility customers must show a City of Bixby utility bill or driver’s license with an address within the Bixby City Limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.
