I have one of those "free" cell phones, & yes, a cell phone is a necessity! Without a cell phone no company will accept a job application from me or my mate! We don't have an alternative phone, without the "free" cell we would have NO phone. I was told when I applied for it, like everyone else at the food bank, that If you receive Social Security or welfare checks for as long as you receive that check the phone is absolutely free! I would *never* have signed up for this used cell phone otherwise! I received a postcard, with a PO Box for a return address and a bill amount that has to be paid by credit card to a 611 number or we lose this "free" cell phone! If I could afford a credit card why would I need a cheap or free phone? I don't remember signing a contract, just a just I received this phone and understand that if my finances change I will notify the company and lose the free phone thing. I never received a copy of that paperwork either, but had already signed, so am probably legally stuck with the bill.

I use to work for Easy Wireless which is out of Florida. This company comes to your state and makes up fraud accounts. They use address which are houses that are in rich neighborhoods or houses that have been on the sales market. Agents use white pages also to get addresses. Agents change addresses , names, socials, and birth dates. This company needs to be stopped. The company's name is TELECOM SERVICE BUREAU INC. the are out of Ocala Fl.

One interesting thing about this is, my brother and I went up to one of the vans to check it out. According to the app we were given, we were applying for a free line due to our enrollment in tribal roles, which neither of us are. Plus, that free phone with no contract, the app stated we were signing up for a 12 month contract paying almost $20 a month for that $1 a month phone line. Didn't get it.

Get a landline phone and you will be fine. Cox offers landlines for cheap. Give me a break. You can call 911, receive calls for jobs, and track down your children that way. People are too blasted spoiled.

This makes me mad. Since when is it a NECESSITY to have a cell phone?? I work too dang hard to pay for my own dog gone minutes and texts and data use to pay for someone elses too!! Next thing they are going to be giving away free i-pads and crap...which I dont even have!! This country has become such an enabling country.....I can understand people need food and electricity....but extra technology and electronic devices are not essential items to stay alive. Ugh this pisses me off!!!!!
