A former patient of Dr. Scott Harrington is suing him for an infection she got after a 2009 oral surgery.
Court papers show Christina Quin got her wisdom teeth removed by Harrington in April of 2009. Quin says prior to surgery she was given a sedative by staff, not Dr. Harrington.
She also says following the procedure she went home and had increasing pain and could not eat solid foods, she returned to Harrington’s office and was diagnosed with an infection and given antibiotics. Quin did recover from her infection.
Court records show she filed suit after the recent investigation into Dr. Scott Harrington’s practice. He’s accused of possible exposing 7,000 patients to HIV, hepatitis B and C through unsanitary practices.
Quin is asking for damages for pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering past and future, physical injury, reasonable expenses of medical care, treatment and services past and future. She’s also asking for punitive damages as the court sees proper.
