Owasso's former city manager pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges.

Rodney Ray is accused of writing a bogus check and filing a false police report in 2010. That investigation led to other allegations including an allegation he asked for the video tape of a traffic stop involving the vice mayor to be erased.

Ray resigned his position last month after he was suspended. He received $185,000 as a result of his resignation agreement with the council.

Warren Lehr is interim city manager. City officials told FOX23 the search for a permanent replacement will begin soon.
