I have to say as an acquaintance of Stina and Rosie who knew them fairly well this news did come as a shock to even me. Not in a million years would i have guessed either of them would commit such a crime. But I'm more disappointed in the people who are so quick to jump to judgment of someone they don't or old acquaintances who are so willing to slander their names.. this happened 5 damn years ago! Am I condoning thekir actions? Not at all. But, I do think that people make stupid decisions when their teens/young adults.. its all part of the growing up process. Unfortunately this decision could result in a charge that could follow them the rest of their lives and make it impossible to follow/ fulfill their dreams. This breaks my heart for Stina to have made a poor choice in the past and to have to quit her job that she went to school.for years to get into. She didnt even get to teach for a full semester before her past came to haunt her present. and now on top of all that there are people throwing their judgement upon her without even having a clue what actually happened.. so frustrating to me!!

I had the unfortunate opportunity to work with Ms McMath a few years after this incident was reported to have occured....It completely fits her demeanor and personality. No way she was blackmailed into doing something against her will...saddens me to think that she had ANY opportunity to continue ANY work with children. I hope that she is punished to the full extent of the law.

I used to work with one of of the other suspects, Rosally, several years ago. She and Stina were in a committed relationship and lived together. I doubt it was blackmail, although I don't know who the guy is. I didn't know Stina other than meeting her a few times through Rosie, but still.....I'm shocked. I knew Rosie really well and would have never expected this.

Ms. McMath was my daughter's Language Arts teacher. When I heard about this Tuesday after school, I was shocked! My daughter didn't believe the rumors because it didn't fit with her 'mental image' of Ms. McMath. Of course, I looked it up on the internet and there it was!! I don't blame Jenks, they couldn't have possibly known. I have to wonder if Stina knew this was coming. She was gone 4 out of the 5 days last week and quit because of 'family issues', so I have to believe she knew this would come out soon. I just don't understand why the DA took so long to prosecute if they knew she was involved. Really, when I met her, I remember thinking that she didn't seem very teacher-like, but that doesn't really mean anything. She had kind of a dark vibe. Not mean, but sad. When I heard this, I wondered if perhaps she was blackmailed into driving a getaway car or threatened with physical violence. Who knows her reasons? I am glad she 'just' drove the car and wasn't one of the two aggressors inside the bank.
