A shooting landed a north Tulsa football coach in the hospital. The shooting happened Monday night on North Boulder, in North Tulsa, as Clyde Daniels walked down the street.

"The first thing you think: they probably didn't make it," said Lyndon Goff.

Police said someone shot 46-year-old Daniels at least six times. Police said he was walking down the street.

"He was talking to the paramedics and that made me feel better," said Goff.

Goff said he grew up with Daniels; he has coached the TYAA Bulldogs with him for years.

"Clyde is a good guy; he grew up right around the corner," said Goff.

Goff said Daniels and the rest of his staff do the best they can to get through to about 300 kids

"It's life man. It is life on the north side," said Goff.

Life as Goff describes it, nearly took one that means so much to so many.
