Flu causes Colcord schools to close Thursday & Friday

Colcord schools will close on Thursday and Friday due to the flu.

Superintendent JD Parkerson says officials hope closing those days will help everyone recover. He says the flu is lingering in the school system, 15% of students are out due to sickness and five teachers are out as well as two thirds of the janitorial staff.

Parkerson says the remaining staff will clean and sanitize the schools for Monday.
