It can take us a while to adjust to wintery weather, which often means a busy night for first responders during the first snow storm of the season.
First responders FOX23 talked to Friday said they've been busy-but not as busy as they were on Thursday.
At Fire Station 27, firefighters were called out right when FOX23’s Lynn Casey was there.
But they said it hasn't been too bad.
Many of the calls they're getting are for car accidents around the city.
And paramedics haven't had to respond to too many slips and falls. So far, people have been taking it easy shoveling snow, they haven't had to help anybody yet who overexerted themself.
But since the weekend is approaching TFD has a word of caution for kids out enjoying the snow.
“We do want to caution the kids out there sledding. A lot of times they're using the sides there along the highway and we just want them to be cautious to make sure they have plenty of room to stop before they go sliding out into the street," said Stan May, with TFD.
