Some Independence Day fireworks are scheduled for Wednesday night.

Sand Springs' annual Independence Day fireworks show will be held in River City Park, 2500 River City Park Rd. Those attending can bring lawn, blanket, and picnic baskets. The show is scheduled to begin at dusk, around 9:15 p.m.

Owasso will host its annual Red, White & Boom fireworks display on Wednesday after dark.

The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 8:45 PM and 9:15 PM after nightfall and radio station KYFM 100.1 will play patriotic music to accompany the show. Seating will not be provided, so visitors are encouraged to bring their own accommodations.

This year there are three public viewing areas in the city with access to parking, food and retail.
  • Viewing area #1 is located in the parking lot south of the Owasso High School at 86th Street North and 129th East Avenue
  • Viewing area #2 is in the parking lot behind Pizza Hut at 12922 East 86th Street North
  • Viewing area #3 is at the Owasso Sixth Grade Center at 8101 North 129th East Avenue.
