The Tulsa Fire Department says two more of the firefighters injured in the Barnard School Fire have returned to full duty.

Firefighters Joel Jones from Station 7 and Heath Tye from Station 5, have returned to full duty. Jones returned on Friday and Tye reported for duty on Monday.

They join Captain Alec Ridner and Fire Equipment Operator Rasheem “Petey” Revels who went back to work in September. Firefighters Michael Rodriguez and Ryan Beeler have returned to light duty and are anxious to return to firefighter duties. Captain Terry Sivadon and Fire Equipment Operator Matt Bell still remain on injury leave while they recover from their injuries.

The firefighters were injured battling a fire at the former Barnard Elementary School on September 14th. The fire destroyed the historic school building and it is being demolished.
