An overnight fire happened in Claremore, at Christ Presbyterian Church. Members arrived Sunday morning with an even stronger need for prayer.

"It’s heart breaking obviously," said Deacon Gordon Besser. “Of course it's all pretty much gone now. We've been here over 20 years."

"This is a sad day for this town," said Denise Ryburn.

No one knows what caused the late night fire. Firefighters fought flames through Sunday morning.

"Our faith is in god, not in buildings," said Besser.

Besser said the church had been renovating, and had almost finished. He has been a member since 1987.

"Where do we go from here? We don't know yet,” said Besser.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire. One firefighter was taken to the hospital, but returned to help before his crew left.
