The Federal Government might be shutting down, but, starting today, you will still be able to purchase a wide range of health insurance plans from the Federal Marketplace of private insurers.
Oklahoma opted out of a State-run exchange, but the Federal Marketplace will offer four types of plans to choose from: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Deductibles and co-pays will depend on your income and which plan you pick.
Nearly 640-thousand Oklahomans are without insurance. If you're a part of that group, you will need to sign up for insurance before March 31st or risk facing fines.
You can sign up online at healthcare.gov or call the toll-free number: 1-800-318-2596.
