MOORE, Okla. (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin will survey tornado-ravaged areas of central Oklahoma from a helicopter.

Fallin spokesman Alex Weintz says Fallin will board a Blackhawk helicopter Tuesday morning to fly over parts of Moore and other areas that were devastated by Monday's tornado.

At least two dozen people were killed in the deadly tornado.

Fallin also plans to join local and state officials at noon at the Moore City Hall for a media briefing on the tornadoes that hit the area.

State Superintendent of Schools Janet Barresi says she also plans to tour areas where schools were damaged or destroyed. Plaza Tower and Brairwood Elementary Schools in Moore were destroyed and Highland East Junior High School lost its gymnasium.

MM <8^] first of all you gotta remember youre addressing a group that thought wall lockers were ready to believe that wall lockers were gonna protect us from a nuclear explosion. Even so, the debris from an EF5 will most likely block the door. So an hour or so trapped below with 600 to 900 juveniles with nowhere to go. I was in a graduating class of 1,000. How many schools in mustang? In higher populations it was probably deemed that the taxes could be better spent else wise. Couple that with which administrator in their right mind wants to be trapped with three thousand unpredictable students. Just hold hands and sing cumbya ???

My prayers go out to the people that lost loved ones. I'm very sorry. When i was a child in Mustang,Oklahoma, every school had a storm shelter. One would think after the 1999 tornado, A storm shelter in every school would have been of the higest priority. With all the taxes we pay, there is no excuse for this other than lack of hindsight or forsight on the Governer's part. I'm sure all of her loved one's and the Moore's goverment official's loved one's, won the lottery. Only one man had the guts to speak the truth about the lottery. I'm sure hes gettin fired. Then Fallin cut it off. That speaks directly to the content of her character. OUR CHILDREN ALLWAYS COME FIRST MARY!!!!
