A day after posting two surveillance photos of possible suspects responsible for racking up fraudulent charges on a lost credit card, they are in custody.

The Tulsa Police Department Financial Crimes Unit posted the surveillance photos on Monday. They said a FOX23 viewer saw the photos and called police.

The card belonged to Gary Stansill's wife.  He told FOX23 his wife's credit card fell into the wrong hands on June 26.

"We know that is was used to pump gas at a local convenience store and that's the last time she recalls using the card," said Stansill.

Stansill said the card was used at the gas station around 2:20 p.m. and about an hour later there were reports of fraudulent charges.

TPD Financial Crime Unit told FOX23 unauthorized charges were made on the card at various gas stations, fast-food restaurants and convenience stores in town.

"I know that it was over $300 in unauthorized purchases," said Stansill.

Stansill told FOX23 that the couple was unaware that the card was missing until they received an automated call from their bank which alerted them to suspicious activity on the card.

"We immediately canceled the card and filed a police report," said Stansill.

Stansill is retired from the Tulsa Police Department and said that he realizes that crime can happen to anyone. He said that he hopes that someone will recognize the surveillance photos and report it to police so that no further crime will occur.

Other drivers in Tulsa tell FOX23 that they are on guard to try to protect themselves at the gasoline pump.

Police have not released the suspects' names.
