FOX23 spoke directly with the man robbed at gunpoint in his Berryhill home early Thursday morning.

The home invasion happened around 1:00 a.m. near West 41st Street and South 49th West Avenue.

The homeowner, David Wayne Shaw, says there was a knock on his front door, and when he opened it, two men forced their way inside.

“Just barged on in,” Shaw said. “Put the gun to my face, right between my eyes.”

Shaw still had a cut on his face when FOX23’s Janai Norman talked to him in his living room Thursday.

That’s where he told FOX23 the two men he’d never seen before demanded money and when he repeatedly told them he didn’t have any, things took a scary turn.

“He said get on your knees and he put the gun to my head. When he did that, that’s when I said, ‘Well wait a minute, I think I have money in my wallet,’” Shaw recalled. “When he put the gun to my head, the first thing that came to my head was execution style murder.”

According to Shaw, the two men got away with a few hundred bucks and keys to his car and his house, but they skipped over more expensive electronics like a laptop and TV.

“[They] didn’t take any of that stuff, all they wanted was cash.”

As they ran off to a getaway car parked down the road, Shaw tells us he looked out thinking they were gone, and was surprised yet again with what he found—a gun he says one of the men dropped on his front porch.

“I pick up the gun and I fired at him,” he said. “It turned out there was only one bullet in that gun and with that one bullet I hit him because he fell to the ground and he had a hard time standing up.”

The men got away, but Shaw says this is all a bit suspicious--The reason he answered the door so late was because he thought it was a friend who was supposed to stop by.

Instead Shaw was robbed, and that friend never showed up.

“I was expecting somebody else,” he tells FOX23. “It’s kind of a suspicion thing, I don’t know.”

In talking with Shaw, that’s one detail we discovered he didn’t mention to deputies.

Right now all we know about the suspects are they were two men in a car with a loud exhaust.

Hadley & dollar soooo what. Y'all are pretty petty. Other news sources called it oakhurst. Irregardless of the BS it's still tulsa county.

That is Berryhill. It's right on the line of the boundary.
