The FBI confirms several people in a federal drug raid in West Tulsa in a case that's under seal.

When the FBI and Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office armored vehicles and marked units lined the street Thursday morning, workers nearby took notice.

“Came in and told us to stay inside, quite a few police officers,” said Larry Najeria.

FOX23 News was the first on the scene Thursday afternoon. Crews watched the FBI haul off a Dodge truck and construction equipment from property near S. 49th West Avenue and W. 51st Street.

“They just took everything,” said one of the men arrested who answered the door.

The man didn’t want to show his face but he spoke with FOX23 News from his door, he says he was arrested and faced a federal judge on Thursday as part of the FBI drug raid.

“I have never bought, sold or used drugs,” said the man.

However, the FBI says this is an ongoing investigation. FOX23 News has learned the investigation has been going on for at least a year.

Since the case is sealed, FOX23 News is not releasing names of those arrested or the property owners. However, FOX23 News found property records link to a man who used the same address when he was booked into jail. Tulsa County Jail records show he has a U.S. Marshals hold. The man in jail also has a prison record for assault and auto theft.

“I am the one who got the brunt of all of this. Not them, I did,” said the man from his door.

He says he thinks he’s in trouble for the items the FBI hauled off.

“It’s my responsibility to prove that it is not stolen and I paid for it,” said the man.

Still the man at the door says he hasn’t read the indictment against him and several other people.

“I didn’t have my glasses so I couldn’t read it,” said the man.

He says he has the indictment but would not let FOX23 News read it.

The US Attorney’s Office would not say when the case will be unsealed but sources tell FOX23 News with the arrests the indictments they could be unsealed soon.

sounds like more to come. and nothing unusual to seize property purchased though illegal gains.

It's disturbing that the government can seize your property and livelihood without so much as a trial, or even knowing what crime you are accused of.
