An 84-page affidavit put together by the FBI links the University of Tulsa’s athletic director, Ross Parmley to illegal gambling.

Despite the recent loss of TU’s president and now its athletic director’s gambling allegations; life goes on pretty much as normal on campus.

Junior Lauren Nehf is on TU's rowing team and proud of what they’ve accomplished.

"We are the smallest Division 1 school in the country so for us to be as successful in our sports as we have is incredible,” says Nehf.

The University of Tulsa is not commenting on whether the allegations against Ross Parmley involve sports betting. He was hired in January after serving three months as the interim athletic director. According to his attorney, he is cooperating with investigators.

In the FBI affidavit, Parmley is listed as an “admitted gambler” along with Teddy Mitchell who is accused of running an illegal gambling operation in Oklahoma City.

"You can spend all night playing a card game like Poker or 21 at a casino, but when you go home and you start in your garage and you start betting on Poker or Black Jack -- that's considered illegal in Oklahoma. That's not a regulated form of gambling and you are in that for profit,” says Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Major, Shannon Clark.

The only legalized forms of gambling in the state of Oklahoma are Indian Casino gambling, Para Mutual betting that’s regulated by the horse racing commission and the lottery. Those convicted of illegally gambling in Oklahoma could face up to ten years in prison and fines.

Again, Ross Parmley has not been charged with any crime and was not the focus of the FBI investigation.

That's kinda like Atilla was a Hun ! Implicated in a report on a bookie Parmly casually replies with affirmation.I guess they gave him time off so he could indulge himself in the most critical time each year of bowl games. Hey maybe he can graduate to Texas Holdem in Vegas. He's probably going to have some free time for a while. :^D
