Oklahoma City emergency crews responded after an explosion at an apartment complex.

Officials say they were initially called for a sick call and then a possible explosion. It happened and the Whitby Apartments. One person was taken to the hospital in good condition. OKC fire officials originally thought it was an IED.

The explosion is thought to be caused by a lithium battery from an e-cigarette.

This was not a real IED. An IED is specifically created to be a bomb (usually) for the purpose of destroying or damaging people and property. Officials said the battery exploded under a desk at the Putnam Green Apartments office in the 7500 block of Knight Lake Dr. Why not say lithium battery from a flashlight, laptop, or cell phone. All those devices use the same batteries as electronic cigarettes and are much more common. Seems like someone slipped their agenda into this story.
