There was little to smile about when we first introduced you to Ethan Hughes last week.
Wednesday night, someone spotted a tricycle, in his front yard and stole it.
"I can't afford another one for my son. Its $1199," said Marie Thurman.
Thurman said the tricycle helped Ethan with motion in his arms and legs. Ethan has cerebral palsy.
"Someone stole it and I don't know who," said Ethan.
"The look on his face, he started crying. It was very heart-wrenching,” said Thurman.
Word spread quickly about what happened.
"I had a friend in Minnesota that saw the story on the website," said John Lemmon.
That person contacted Lemmon, and then he got in touch with one of his racers at Oil Capitol Racing Series.
Ethan’s tricycle wasn’t returned. Instead, he got a better tricycle.
"I'm really excited," said Ethan.
“Wow, there are still some good people out there, some generous people out there,” said Thurman.
Oil Capitol Racing Series, has invited him to a racing event next summer.
