An error on a veteran’s claim back in 1986 leads to a big payday in 2013.

The Oklahoma Department of Veteran’s Affairs says a representative recently found an error on a claim filed by Neal A. Berry in 1986. Once that error was corrected the veteran received a check for a large amount of money, the family has asked the amount not be disclosed.

The service rep who found the error, Jim Pass, received a commendation from Governor Mary Fallin for the service he did to Mr. Berry and his family.
