An elderly woman was killed in a three car crash along Hwy 412 westbound near Adams Road in Tulsa County on Friday around 6:15pm.

Martha Nickelson, 75, of Tulsa, died at the scene from massive injuries. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Nickelson was going the wrong direction on the highway, traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes.

Nickelson's Pontiac sedan struck a BMW head-on, then a Jeep struck the BMW.  The driver of the BMW was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released.  The driver of the Jeep had minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

Nickelson was not wearing a seatbelt according to the trooper's report.
