We as parents of Colton see a drastic need for more funding for the ABLE commission. They are a limited staff that need more resources. If the public can help it would do wonders. Don't see it as telling on a friend but saving a friend. I really want to make parents aware that there is no law saying that even though your child is a minor the school does NOT legally have to have you there before confronting your child about possible drugs or alcohol use. They can have your child leave the premisis and not call law enforcement or you the parents. We were on our way to the school as soon as Colton phoned. But could not make it before he was told to leave. I will never forgive myself for not being there for him. We need to Enforce I.d. ing at these liquor stores and there needs to be a law placed stating that if a student is drinking alcohol or doing drugs on school property...law enforcement and the parents legally should be there. SAVE OUR CHLDREN ...PLEASE
