Emergency Medical Services Authority will collect new hats, underwear, gloves and socks for donation to adults, teens and children in need this winter at Walgreens stores throughout EMSA’s service area.

Members of EMSA’s Community Ambassadors program are working with Walgreens to offer convenient drop off locations for the community to participate. The medics are requesting donations of new hats, underwear, gloves and socks in all sizes that will be distributed to the Tulsa Day Center to help those who are homeless in our communities.

“As an EMSA medic, we respond to calls all winter when people haven’t protected themselves from the elements and cold temperatures. Hopefully H.U.G.S. can give members of our community the clothing and protection they might not have otherwise,” said Joshua Choate, one of the EMSA paramedics organizing the drive.
