EMSA collects winter clothes for those in need

EMSA is collecting warm clothes for the upcoming months through their first H.U.G.S drive. Paramedics and EMT's will be collecting mainly hats, underwear, gloves and socks for adults and kids, but will accept any warm weather items.

 

EMSA EMT Brianne Smedley, said every winter they have patients who suffer from hypothermia and frostbite.  The elderly and children are most prone to getting sick from cold weather.  EMSA is hoping to raise enough items to donate to three shelters and equip every ambulance with some items. 


Ambulances collecting the items will be parked at the following locations on these dates and times: 

Thursday, October 25
Woodland Hills Mall
Acorn lot entrance by Macy’s
10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Friday, October 26
IHOP
101 S. Highway 97, Sand Springs
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
* In return, IHOP is offering a $5 off coupon on your next visit for everyone who makes a donation. Coupons are limited to one per person. 

Saturday, October 27
Village Inn
2745 S. Harvard
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Thursday, November 8
Sutherland’s
Bixby
10 a.m. – 6 p.m
