Thats right let the Fire Department do it... OH Wait!! Were they not investigated for falsifying training records? So the answer is to let half trained Paramedics take care of us. If you uninformed people would do some research you would find that the fire department tried and failed to come up with plan that would not cost nearly double what EMSA costs. Also do not believe these half news reports we are getting. This is irresponsible jouralism at best. In fact it borders on defamation because it only tells half the story. Some of this spending is not really as it seems. I am not saying there should not be more oversight, but the freedom to operate soley is what mkes EMSA successful. Ayone here can agree that government spending is certainly not any more responsible and in most cases around the counrty when the local governments or fire departments (Kansas City)tried to take over the EMS, they have failed and people will suffer and die. Do your own research people. Your thoughts might change a bit.

Extravagant spending at EMSA isn't news. This has been going on for years and has been reported on. It's just no one ever does anything about it. Time to let the Fire Department run the Paramedic service.
