Troopers said the driver of a boat involved in a deadly hit and run accident on Lake Eufaula turned himself in to authorities.

On Saturday afternoon, troopers recovered the body of 55-year old Gary McIninch, an Oklahoma City man who went missing after a boat accident on Lake Eufaula.

Authorities said McIninch disappeared on the Fourth of July when a ski boat crashed into the pontoon boat he was on with several other people.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver of the ski boat, 30-year old Ryan Shumway, turned himself in on Monday.

Authorities say the ski boat's driver drove off as the boaters began searching for McIninch.
