"Pattie started singing when she was three years old," said Steven Clay, father of American Idol hopeful, Pattie Clay.
Steven said he remembers watching the toddler, Pattie, captivated by the movie Sister Act. "She got to mimicking them and then started singing right along."
Her favorite movie has changed since then, but Pattie said her passion for singing hasn't faltered.
"This has always been my life, I have always been a singer," Pattie said.
She's taken the desire to sing with her as she pursues her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She's also currently a member of Downtown Country singing group in Wagoner.
American Idol winner and Oklahoman Carrie Underwood, was also a former member of Downtown Country.
"It's really cool to see what can from it," Pattie said.
She is well on her way in pursuing her own path as the next American Idol, Pattie is an American Idol Dream Ticket winner and will audition before the judges on Friday.
"I'm just going to give it 100% and what ever happens, happens," said Pattie.
No matter how the auditions go, Pattie said she is thankful for her supportive community in Green Country.
"The community has been a big supporter of what I do, they are great."
