(borrowed from the Tulsa World): "Witnesses are clear that Dennehy never aimed (much less fired) his revolver at anyone. That doesn't excuse his behavior, but neither does it absolve the deputies from acting recklessly when they fired in the direction of a crowded public building." They are referring to the person inside the library who was hit by one of several bullets that came through the glass. If the shooter didn't hit the deputy, someone's keeping a secret. Maybe the video shows that, but if it does, we will never see it.

Unwashed Mass: you have made that statement on every article about this story. What evidence do you have to base that statement on? Please, can not carry a weapon at the court house including the court yard even under the CC. Get your facts straight, if the guy did not fire a shot then who shot the deputy? There was no cross fire since all law enforcement were to the south of the gun man. The by standard that got shot was to the north west of the gun man. The deputies ordered him to put down his gun and that is when he fired at deputies. Once he was down they switched to tasers. Lets wait till all evidence is in before we throw stones. Some of us where there and now first hand what happened it would appear that you were not by your statement.

The secret "plan" must have been to start shooting at anything that moved, because that's not far from what happened. TCSO's self-serving statements dont change the evidence and witness statements that point to all the victims being shot by officers. Lucky there weren't citizens with CC permits or they would have been shot, too.

When are we going to see a physical fitness, nutrition, diet plan mandated for the Tulsa Sheriff's department. It would impact the cost of health insurance and reduce sick days taken if these folks regardless of their courage and dedication were packing a few less pounds.
