UPDATE -- Ezekiel Glibert Ray Holbert has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.  Prosecuters are seeking the death penalty.  Tune into FOX23 News at 5pm for the latest information.

(Seminole County, OK)  Authorities say a man accused of shooting two deputies to death Sunday in Seminole County, OK, has surrendered to authorities.  Police say the shots were fired Sunday afternoon, killing two deputies.  OHP has declined to released the deputies' names, as they are still notifying next of kin.

Witnesses on the scene have told FOX23 they know who the deputies are, although we will not release their names until the Highway Patrol confirms them.  Deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Holbert when the shooting began.

Investigators say 26-year-old Ezekiel Gilbert Ray Holbert surrendered at his mother's house around 7:30 Sunday evening, and he's in the Seminole Co. jail facing first-degree murder charges.  Highway Patrol troopers were able to determine that Holbert was in the home utilizing a robot with an audio speaker.

Whitebird was the best friend and brother anyone has ever seen. He will be missed by all of his brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement. The Class of A-0804 will always remember the smile he brought to our faces and the love he had for his job. I LOVE YOU brother and I know you will be watching over all of us. Officer Sam Byers

Witnesses say the deputies kicked in the door and were inside when the shooting started, but OSBI said the suspect came to the door and started shooting. Police and OHP then stormed nearby homes and apartments in a frantic search for the man that was still inside his own residence. When the two Weletka girls were murdered they didnt make this much of an effort, but police tend to freak out when it's one of their own.
