(Seminole County, OK) Authorities say a man accused of shooting two deputies to death Sunday in Seminole County, OK, has surrendered to authorities. Police say the shots were fired Sunday afternoon, killing two deputies. OHP has declined to released the deputies' names, as they are still notifying next of kin.
Witnesses on the scene have told FOX23 they know who the deputies are, although we will not release their names until the Highway Patrol confirms them. Deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Holbert when the shooting began.
Investigators say 26-year-old Ezekiel Gilbert Ray Holbert surrendered at his mother's house around 7:30 Sunday evening, and he's in the Seminole Co. jail facing first-degree murder charges. Highway Patrol troopers were able to determine that Holbert was in the home utilizing a robot with an audio speaker.
