The State of Oklahoma has filed embezzlement and financial exploitation of the elderly charges against a Depew insurance agent.
Court records allege Donna Laverne Parrick, acting as Parrick Insurance Agency, was paid by 80-year old Della Hall for insurance coverage on her mobile home. Hall’s daughter contacted investigators after Hall never received a copy of the policy and Parrick allegedly stopped returning calls.
Oklahoma Insurance Department fraud investigators say Hall had a receipt from Parrick for a $658 payment for insurance through National Lloyd’s Insurance Company, but after investigators called the company they found no policy had been purchased.
Investigators say Parrick pressured Hall to stay quiet, but Hall told her daughter who contacted them.
Parrick now faces embezzlement and financial exploitation of the elderly charges.
