Damaged power lines sparked a grass fire in midtown this week.
Public Service Company of OKlahoma crews told FOX23 News that strong winds knocked the power lines out of place near 15th and Harvard.
The fire started at the top of the power pole and then burned down into a backyard.
Several homes lost power.
A PSO supervisor said trees weakened by the ice storm remain a threat.
"You don't want to walk under those limbs while you work," PSO Spokesperson Jimmy Wilson said. "If you were to be mowing your yard or working in the backyard, those limbs might fall. It's not just a hazard for us, but it's a hazard for the customer."
Fire crews arrived in minutes and were able to put out the flames quickly.
PSO had the power back on in less than an hour.
