While it does not justify what the England kid did, after reading this article I can't help but believe there was a grave miscarriage of justice in the lack of charges brought against the killer of the boy's dad. The reasoning given by the DA for claiming this was justafiable homicide is convouluted. If this Jefferson had been convicted of a former crime and was on parole, any act he would commit with a firearm is not justifiable considering that simply having a firearm is worthy of jail time. Also if a person kills someone while in the commission of a crime that individual is usually prossicuted for that death. If Jefferson was breaking into the Carl England home even if England threatened violent force against him, we must realize that Jefferson was on probation and the agressor here, not the home owner and as such the self defense clause does not apply to him. Is the former event a case of the Native American still not being able to get justice. It may be that the DA's handeling of the previous case may have created the current tragic events where no one is the winner.
