Tulsa and Turley fire crews are investigating two possible arson fires in north Tulsa.
One broke out Friday morning in the area of 61st St. North and Peoria at an abandoned business, and the other less than a mile away at an abandoned home in the 6100 block of north Frankfort.
Turley fire crews tell FOX23 they believe both fires may be the work of an arsonist. The two calls came in at the same time Friday morning.
Turley Fire Cheif Keith Ross, said this was the second-time crews were called to the building near 61st St. North and Peoria. Chief Ross said it caught on fire Thursday around 6 pm. Turley Firefighters responded and put out the flames in about an hour.
The second call came Friday morning. Chief Ross said at first, he thought some of the wood might have rekindled. However, when firefighters got there the entire building was in flames. Chief Ross says it's very suspicious.
Tulsa Fire Department and Air National Guard were called into help. The fire destroyed the vacant building. State Fire Marshals will be called in to investigate .
Tulsa Firefighters responded to the house fire on N. Frankfort. Chief Ross said the call first came in as grass fire, but when firefighters got their it was an abounded home. The abandoned home is destroyed.
