Tulsa police and fire crews are investigating after a vehicle was found inside a south Tulsa pond early Tuesday morning.

TFD says some people off-roading in the area behind the Lowe's store near 71st & Hwy 169 saw the top of a vehicle sticking out of the pond, and called for help.

The fire department's rescue team, and the TPD dive team responded to the scene. The fire department says it appears the vehicle has been in the pond for a while, because there is a lot of moss all over the vehicle.

Crews say the car, a 1987 Oldsmobile, was stolen and dumped in this pond in the early 90s.
