Turner Turnpike was shutdown just outside Stroud for 15 minutes Saturday morning due to a crane collapsing.

Trooper Derek Lowder told FOX23 that construction is occurring on a bridge and parts of a crane fell onto the turnpike after the cables supporting it, broke.

Lowder said the incident happened around 9:05 a.m. and the eastbound and westbound lanes at mile marker 173 had to be closed.

OHP said it took about 15 minutes for crews to clear the scene and reopen the turnpike back up.

No one was injured, but a UHaul truck, which couldn't stop in time, suffered some minor damage after running into the part on the turnpike.
