More budget cuts for Tulsa Public Schools.  Another $1 million has been cut from the budget, and, worst case scenario, officials fear that number could get much higher.  That news has left parents with many concerns, and questions about what it all means for their children. TPS superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard said they are preparing for a possible 10 percent cut, on top of millions already cut this year.

"Make no mistake about it, class sizes will go up in this district," Dr. Keith Ballard said.

More students in each classroom with fewer teachers is not a good combination parents say.

"With them strengthening the class size, kids are going to suffer. That's kind of a tough break for them because that's our future," concerned parent Darrell Madden said.

Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard said there could be an impact on extra-curricular activities but no plan is in place yet. Overall, parents are looking for some answers but also offering their suggestions.

"Everybody just needs to pull together right now you know, stick together, look out for the kids. If we have to do something special to raise money for the kids, I mean everybody just has to pull together," Madden said.

The superintendent indicated in the news conference today that Oklahoma has not managed its lottery proceeds appropriately, suggesting that money was put into the general fund instead of using it exclusively to enhance education.

Good question....show me the money. Why can't we track the money through the system and see what schools it went to..that was part of the stipulations in the bill voted on for the lottery. was that the money won in this state on lottery would go to the education dept. and be dispersed. Where did it go?
