Tulsa police are still searching for the man who hit and killed 46-year-old Christina Bradshaw Wednesday.

Sometime before noon, police said a thief cut the chain on a fence at T-G Excavating, backed up a stolen truck and hitched up a trailer to it before taking off.

Police said the thief took off out of his lot, pulling the stolen trailer with a stolen truck. At one point, the trailer came unhitched and the thief continued on toward 9th at Richmond at a high rate of speed.

Police said the truck then hit Bradshaw's car, killing her.

It's something that Rick Blanke is still trying to wrap his head around.

"It's like $3,800 I think is what the trailer costs. $3,800 for a life, yeah, that's crazy," he said.

Blanke works for T-G Excavating, which is a contractor for the city of Tulsa. He said he was in Bartlesville when he got the call that his trailer had been stolen.

"I hate the fact that somebody broke in here and stole our trailer and hurt somebody," he said.

Now Blanke and his company are working to make it harder for anyone who tries to steal from them.

"We block things in and lock the gate and do the best thing we can. If somebody wants something then they'll take it. They'll just have to work a little harder at it."

Meanwhile, Bradshaw's former co-workers at the Fiesta Mart near 11th & Yale are raising money for her funeral costs.

Rick Blanke :-) Get a hold on yourself. They couldn't steal your trailer if it were designed with a removable hitch.

Police too busy chasing DUI grant money at the bars and restaurants. Hope busting someone for drinking in a bar is more important than doing your OTHER job.
