Do women really want equality? I am not so sure. This article really sheds some light on the topic:

It's SrA Adamus, not E-4. We use rank to address people, not pay grades. And there is no such thing as an "airwoman". She's an airman. Get over it. I have no problems with women in combat arms. But only if they pass the SAME requirements as men, including fitness standards. You're only as fast and strong as your slowest and weakest person. Any degradations in combat effectiveness for the sake of political correctness or equality should be strongly resisted. The mission comes first. Period. If a women can perform the mission with equal effectiveness, both physically and mentally, than fine. If not, then they need to be sent back to the rear with the gear. (By the way, this applies to men as well.)

Wonder how many of those in favor of women in combat have ever been in actual combat themselves. I have two wonderful daughters and would not want them in combat.
