Another day of life is a bonus.

"God brought me back. He brought me back," said Clyde Daniels.

Daniels' voice is shaky, his body aches and without a wheelchair, or his walker he can hardly move.

"I saw the bullet holes on the side of him," said Keith Woodard.

Six gunshots left Daniels broken and delirious. The shooting happened Sept. 24 in the 4900 Block of North Boulder.

"He said I don't want to die; I don't want to die," said Woodard.

It happened outside Woodard's house.
Woodard dialed 911, and moments later, Daniels slipped into a coma.

"When I got to the hospital I saw that light," said Daniels.

Jerrico Thomas is accused of shooting Daniels.

"I forgive him," said Daniels.

He felt he had to answer his calling. Daniels came face-to-face with the streets he helps kids avoid.

"I made it through man. I made it through," said Daniels.

He's back on the sideline. Leading young men toward something positive, because he says his testimony and his presence are the biggest gifts he has to offer.
