FOX23 talked to the family of an Oklahoma music legend killed in a car accident Wednesday.

Clyde Stacy, 77, known internationally for his rockabilly style, drove into a stopped truck on Highway 69.

Stacy's family said he was traveling northbound on the highway heading back to Broken Arrow from Muskogee when the accident happened.

"He just said, 'I love you,' and I said, 'I love you, too.' That's how it ended so I think that was a God moment right there," said Stacy's daughter, Lori Stacy Dickmann.

About 15 minutes later the family said he got in the wreck that took his life.

"He was a character in his own way," she said.

A life in the spotlight, showed in thousands of memories on the family's kitchen table. –

Stacy's love of music was passed on to his son.

"It's my passion. It was his passion," said Mark Stacy.

"He was there for me," said Mark.

"He had unconditional love," said Lori.

Stacy was respected by many around the world for his music career.

"I just respect him for being a great father. I think that's more important than being a great musician," said Lori.

Clyde Stacy's funeral is scheduled for next Tuesday in Muskogee.
