Closing arguments began on Friday in the murder for hire trial of Fred Shields.
Shields is accused of helping plan the 2008 shooting death of Tulsa businessman Neal Sweeney. The case is expected to go to the jury soon.
Gas station owner Mohammed Aziz, who made a deal for a lesser sentence with the prosecutor, testified he used Shields to help plan a hit on Sweeney.
In August, a jury found triggerman Terrico Bethel guilty and he was sentenced to life without parole.
