City of Tulsa crews were out Thursday fixing potholes around the city.

There were many left behind by recent winter storms.

The city told FOX23 News that the area near 31st and Sheridan Street is one of the problem spots for potholes.

City crews start with a routine schedule where they have certain areas they check and attend to.

When an ice storm hits, like the one last weekend, it is common for potholes to appear the next week.

City officials say they will get calls about certain areas that need immediate attention and when they get those calls they try and fix the area as fast as possible.

"We have a time frame we try to beat," City of Tulsa Operations Manager for the Street and Stormwater Department Leon Kragel says. "We try to get any potholes that are hazardous, and then put the other ones on a schedule to maintain on a later date."

FOX23 News spoke with several people who aren't too happy about all the holes in the street.

"They are so bad," driver Beverly Hall said. "Your car just sinks. Whenever you have a nice car, you'd like to keep it."

The crews will be out again Friday, and will try to fix the holes in a couple of hours.
