City of Tulsa wants landmark photos

‘This is Tulsa’ photo opp!

In conjunction with the National Community Planning Month to be held during the month of October, the City of Tulsa’s Planning and Economic Development Department wants Tulsans of all ages to snap and share images of their favorite Tulsa landmarks, public places and natural features.

Contributions will be collected and compiled into a video that will be displayed on the city’s website and electronic media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Photos may be used in publications, online and print.

Photos may be submitted throughout the month of October. Those who wish to participate should attached digital photos with a brief description of the location to an email and optionally include first and last name (or initial) and the submitter’s age.

Please include the subject line ‘This is Tulsa’ and send to All photos must be in a JPEG format and the file size may not exceed 10MB.

  • Images submitted must be original and may not be taken from another source.
  • Participants are asked to observe basic guidelines of civility as outlined in the City of Tulsa Social Media Policy, The City of Tulsa reserves the right not to include photos deemed inappropriate to the ‘This is Tulsa’ theme.
  • No compensation from the City of Tulsa to the photographer is associated with this activity.
  • Participants agree to allow the City of Tulsa to use the photos for public use.
