TULSA, Okla. (AP) - City officials in Tulsa say more than 41,000 cubic yards of debris left by a July 23 windstorm have been removed and more remains to be collected.
City spokesman Bob Bledsoe says some of the areas where the debris has yet to be collected are in the hardest hit areas of the city. Officials had estimated shortly after the storm that the debris collection would take more than a month to complete.
Bledsoe says the amount collected thus far would cover 160 football fields three feet deep.
