City closures for Labor Day

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day.

Public safety and mission critical operations will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the City’s 24-hour emergency number: (918) 596-9488.

Residential refuse, recycling, green waste and bulky waste will not be collected on Monday, Sept. 2, because of the holiday.

Once-a-week customers will receive trash and recycling service one day after their usual collection day.

For twice-a-week customers, the second collection day moves forward one day, except for Wednesday/Saturday customers, who will be collected Thursday/Saturday.

•Monday collection will move to Tuesday, September 3.
•Tuesday collection will move to Wednesday, September 4.
•Wednesday collection will move to Thursday, September 5.
•Thursday collection will move to Friday, September 6
•Friday collection will move to Saturday, September 7.

The City’s green waste site, 10401 E. 56th St. North, will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day. It will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 3, to resume its daily schedule of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for City holidays.

Crews working on the citywide green waste storm debris collection will take a break for Labor Day weekend – Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, they will return to 10-hour shifts on weekdays and Saturdays.

Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed on Monday, but the parks’ outdoor facilities will be accessible as usual. City pools have closed for the season. The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. also will be closed on Monday.

Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses, as well as Tulsa Zoo, will be open on Monday. Gilcrease Museum will be closed on Monday according to its usual schedule. The Tulsa Performing Arts Center also will be closed on Monday.

Tulsa Transit bus service will not operate on Labor Day.
