Congratulations to all five zones selected for this wonderful project, Promise Zone. presented to the people by Presdent Obama. What a wonderful boost for Choctaw Nation,to be named one of the Promise Zone Iniaive by President Obama in 2014. Federal acknowledgement that the Promise Zone Iniative is much needed across the nation is a great step in taking an interest in the middle class citizens to improve the quality of their lives. The Promise Zone Iniaive approach includes working with local leadership, and bringing to bear the resources of a number of the President’s signature revitalization initiatives from the Department of Education, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Agriculture to ensure that federal programs and resources support the efforts to turn around 20 of the highest poverty urban, rural and tribal communities across the country. I am looking forward to the first results of the 5 zones selected to be a part of this historical project. Good job Prsident Obama.
