A man is caught on tape stealing a gun from a pawn shop while the business was open.

Surveillance video shows a man reach over the counter and swipe a gun that was sitting on the stool at Tulsa County Pawn.

Workers said they put the gun down after showing a customer. The thief acted like he was leaving but when no one was looking the thief stole the gun from behind the counter.

The thief put the gun in his pocket and walked away.

"This was a crime of opportunity and if he is willing to take an opportunity, what other opportunities will he take? And he has a gun,” said Jerry Jackson.

The thief has several tattoos on both arms and was wearing a navy Abercrombie t-shirt, black shorts and black Nike sandals with black socks during the theft.
